Mobley Water & Wastewater Construction Projects
USACE Norfolk Bulkhead & Siphon
The United States Army Corp of Engineers contracted Mobley Contractors, Inc. to provide services for the Maintenance Bulkhead and Siphon. The project included construction activities associated with the installation of a maintenance bulkhead structure used to temporarily seal and dewater tainter gates on the dam during maintenance, along with the installation of a siphon system.
Van Buren Pump Station
This project consisted of the construction of a raw sewage pumping station including sheet pile cofferdam, excavation, and dewatering 530 cubic yards of reinforced concrete. Additionally, there was an installation of two Raw Sewage Pumps (5,555 GPM, 50 HP), associated piping, fittings, and miscellaneous metals. The scope of the project also included site work and demolition of the existing pump station.
Central Arkansas Water Intake Structure
Mobley Contractors Inc. were contracted for the role of Mechanical and Millwright Contractor. We installed a 45 foot long, 60” diameter pump barrel under the existing pump station located in Lake Maumelle. In addition, three (30,000,000 gallon a day) intake screens and three 48” butterfly valves were attached to the pump barrel. The work also included the installation of the pump, motor, 30 inch cone valve, 30” butterfly valve, 30” discharging piping, and accessories to the existing pump station’s discharge header.
